.26 caliber percussion, 5 shot revolver, spur trigger, 3" octagonal barrel, unfluted cylinder. Production in 1860 and 1861 of about 650 revolvers. It is strongly believed that his guns were sold by others gunsmiths or gundealers as John P.Lower, D.D.Cone, William P.Uhlinger or others. In 1861 Hankins became a partner of C. Sharps and he sold his tools to William P. Uhlinger, Philadelphia. |
